MUSEUM & ART SCHOOL FACILITIES
The Springfield Museum of Art is a large complex offering art enthusiasts, students, scholars, and the community at large:
A Gallery Wing
Seven galleries house both the museum's permanent collections and special changing exhibits.
A School Wing (Art School Recently Renovated)
Nine classrooms -- three of which are specially-equipped for sculpture, pottery and glass -- provide space and equipment for courses and workshops each year. A large student gallery displays student and teacher exhibits.
Computer Lab (New Computer Lab)
Equipped with thirteen workstations, an instructor's station and projector. Loaded with graphics software these computers are used for teaching basic and advanced computer graphic, digital photo editing and animation techniques.
Banquet Facilities (Recent Renovations)
A spacious special events center with adjoining catering facilities can be rented for family or corporate events.
An Art Reference Library (New Library)
A large library includes thousands of books and journals related to the visual arts.
